  1. Credit transfer application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  2. An applicant who has successfully completed a programme at an appropriate level, such as Certificate, Diploma and Sub-degree programme, offered by a recognized institution may apply for credit transfer.
  3. Transfer of credits may be granted to students in recognition of prior studies completed at an appropriate level as recognized by the College. Student is not required to take the modules for which credit transfer has been granted.
  4. If the application is approved, the student will be exempted from taking a similar module offered by the College. Transfer credits normally do not count in the calculation of a student’s Grade Point Average (GPA). A “TR” grade will be assigned to the equivalent module(s) in the student’s academic record.
  5. Only modules completed from the recognized institution within the past 5 years and with similar contents can be used to claim for exemption of core modules, specialized modules and industrial placement modules. Normally, a student may not be granted more than the followings for an academic award.
    • Maximum ceiling of 4 modules in 2-year higher diploma programme
    • Maximum ceiling of 2 modules in 1-year diploma programme
  6. Student is required to submit a completed “Application for Credit Transfer” with copies of academic transcript and a detailed syllabus for application.
  7. The application of the credit transfer should be a one-off exercise and no subsequent transfer of credits will be approved.
  8. Application must be made before week 2 of the first term of the student’s admission.
